Natural Ways to Lower Cholesterol
I received an interesting email from my client Wendy Cole today and I thought it may be of value for you.
The email was about an experience her husband had with his Doc during his annual check up. If you or someone you know takes Lipitor, I thought you might be interested in it.
Here's the email:
"Hey Doug - quick story - my husband went to the doc for his annual check-up a couple of weeks ago, and went back yesterday to get his results. Although Ed is 54, the doc says he has the results of an athletic 20 year old!
But check this out. He tells Ed that his cholesterol is 109! And then asks Ed if he wants him to renew his prescription for Lipitor! Ed tells him that he does not, nor has he ever been on Lipitor. The doc looks at him, puzzled, and asks how he lowered his cholesterol from 256 last year to 109 this year. Ed tells him the 3 things he has been doing - 1) completely revamped his diet 2) started a weight training program and added in some cardio as he went along and 3) started taking a natural supplement that contains Chinese red yeast rice. The doc just looked at him and said "oh" and then walked away.
I wonder if he'll encourage any of his other patients to do what Ed did, instead of taking drugs. Probably not. What a shame."

I'm not an expert on Lipitor, but if you can lower your cholesterol levels dramatically without risking drug side effects, wouldn't you?
